There should be some instruction how to add a web based ssh interface. e.g. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web-based_SSH . Make sure to have ways to deal with the high latency. The benefit of this type of setup, is that you are given a very easy way to interface with it over tor. While you cannot port forward, you can pretty much do anything that you can do by text in ssh.
Should disable root login, and make an SSH user
scp over the public key for passwordless ssh login (more secure)
Also change SSH port to something else, see torservers.net for explanation (read their server setup wiki)
