Disclaimer 1: I'm still reading this article, and have not yet spent time on other pages in the wiki. In case it's a convention which might have been explained elsewhere where I haven't discovered it. Disclaimer 2: I'm a non-native English user.
I just wanted to say that I think it's hard to read non-capitalized words for nationalities and states. It makes my brain pause the article reading (parsing, if you like) and go "Incorrect! Syntax error! Bad language!", and that breaks up my reading flow and disrupts cognition.
I feel pretty certain I'm not alone in having this experience.
